Sunil, Scientific Advisor

Sunil Gupta is a scientific advisor to Evo Pricing, and the Edward W. Carter Professor of Business Administration and Chair of the General Management Program at Harvard Business School. He is also the co-chair of the executive program on Driving Digital and Social Strategy. From 2008-2013, he served as the Head of the Marketing Unit.

Sunil's research includes digital technology and its impact on consumers and firm strategy, as well as customer management, pricing, and return on marketing investment, with 2 books and over 80 articles, book chapters, cases and notes on these topics.

Sunil advises and speaks to leading companies around the world, and he frequently appears on several national and international television programs, such as CBS, CNN, NPR and BBC, and has been quoted in Forbes, The Fast Company, The New York Times and The Washington Post. Sunil holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, and a Ph.D. from Columbia University.

Hans, Business Advisor

Hans Hoegstedt recently joined forces with Evo as Business Advisor. Hans is a strong advocate for transformational change for good through technology and people. In his career he has held several CEO and senior management roles, mainly leading turnaround and transformational project in multiple industries.

He has managed large and medium-sized companies in Fashion (recent turnaround of third biggest women fashion company in Italy Miroglio Fashion), Industrial/Energy (creation of Prysmian ’06-’16, global leader in Energy business and, after the IPO in ’07 has grown into one of the largest companies on the Milan Stock Exchange), Automotive (turnaround of Fiat ’01-’06) and FMCG (Coca-Cola Company).

Hans has studied at Harvard Business School, is a certified Director (Insead) and has held several Board positions in Europe and India, he has been appointed CEO at Tom Dixon in February 2020. He is a Swedish citizen who has lived and worked in 8 different countries. Currently he lives in Milan with his wife Lorenza.

Michele, Business Advisor

Michele Cermele is a business advisor for Evo and an experienced entrepreneur. In 2005, Michele co-founded Jupiter, which became a market leader in the sector of non-performing credit management in Italy and Greece. The company was acquired by the Big Data provider Cerved Group, and Michele has since been CEO of Cerved Credit Management, the new name of Jupiter.

Michele has bee also been active in Venture Capital, through the Spanish fund Copernion Ventures, and in tutoring young entrepreneurs. He worked for INFN (National Institute for Nuclear Physics), McKinsey and Company, and Mastercard.

Michele graduated as Computer Engineer and holds a PhD degree in Computer Science.

Laura, Scientific Advisor

Laura Sacerdote is a scientific advisor to Evo Pricing and a full professor of Probability and Statistics at the Department of Mathematics of Turin University.

She coordinates the Industrial Ph. D. program in Modeling and Data Science and the M. Sc. in Stochastics and Data Science of Torino University alongside administrative roles in Department and School commissions. Previously she has been a tenured research associate and then Associate Professor of Probability and Statistics at the Universities of Salerno and Turin.

Her interests focus on the application of the theory of stochastic processes to biological modelling with special focus on neuronal modelling, with a strong interdisciplinary character, including collaborations with Computer Scientists, Physicists, Neuroscientists, Statisticians and Mathematicians.

Roberta, Scientific Advisor

Roberta Sirovich is a scientific advisor to Evo Pricing and a researcher at the University of Torino. Her research interests include stochastic models for single neuron membrane potential, studying the stochastic leaky integrate and fire with discontinuities and jumps, and new definition of the firing time. She is involved with the parameters estimation of such models and hence she masters statistics for stochastic processes. Given her increasing interest for mathematical statistics, she also started working on information theoretical measures estimation, as well as the approximation of sequences of parameter dependent Markov chains.

Her education includes an MSc in Mathematics 2001 (University of Torino), PhD in Mathematics (University of Torino) and in Molecular Biology (University Joseph Fourier, Grenoble, France) 2006.

Oded, Scientific Advisor

Oded Koenigsberg is a scientific advisor to Evo Pricing, and he serves as a faculty in London Business School since 2012 and a faculty in Columbia University Graduate School of Business between 2002 to 2012. He covers a wide range of topics in marketing strategy, pricing and the interface between marketing and manufacturing, grounded in his 12-year business experience prior to becoming an academic.

He develops models that attempt to incorporate the cross-functional aspects of firms' marketing management decisions for leading academic journals. Oded holds a bachelor and master degrees in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research and has received his Ph.D. in Operations Management from Duke University.

Sébastien, Scientific Advisor

Sébastien Thomassey is a scientific advisor to Evo Pricing and an associate professor at the « Ecole Supérieure des Arts et Industries Textiles » (ENSAIT) and the GEMTEX laboratory of Roubaix, France. His research interests include sales forecasting of fashion products, supply chain modelling, simulation and optimization, production management and decision support systems for textile/apparel industry. 

He is involved in different European research projects such as Erasmus Mundus Program, CrossTexNet – Era-Net program or H2020 program He holds a MSc(Eng.) in textile and clothing production from the ENSAIT and a MSc in advanced data analysis from Lille 1 University and he received his PhD in automation and information technology from Lille I University. He was engineer in R&D at the French technical center for the textile/clothing (IFTH) and researcher at the Mathematic and Operational research laboratory of the Polytechnic Institute of Mons, Belgium.
